New Ideas

Possibly a change in plan, we'll see. 

 So here's a picture of what we were planning to do (minus the groom's tie color). I think I still like it, I'm just not sure about the orange dresses.

 So pretend like the men in this picture are wearing grey suits instead of khaki. I like the idea of the bridesmaids wearing navy dresses and having orange flowers, I know Corey wants the groomsmen and him to wear charcoal grey so I like the idea of that with either all of them wearing orange ties or the groomsmen wearing navy ties and Corey wearing an orange tie. If the groomsmen wore navy ties, they could have orange boutonnieres and then Corey could have an orange tie and an ivy boutonniere. 

 I also like the idea of having some green in the bouquets, not that much but I think it adds something to the flowers.

 Here's an example of the grey with the orange :) This is what Corey wants to wear, but I don't think he wants to a vest. Either way I think it looks great! :) I love it.

 I absolutely love these pictures! I love the dresses and I love the flowers. I just hope that Corey loves it too! I still think it will look great with the grey suits and the orange ties.

Update: Rings and Ideas

So just a quick update. I'm very excited, about a month ago Corey picked out his wedding band but I was having a hard time deciding. But this weekend I finally decided. Corey and I went to the Shane Co. Saturday expecting to have to special order my ring and not have it for about 3 months. Since our wedding isn't for almost a year, the 3 months wouldn't be a big deal. We were happy to find that they had a size 6 ring in the store that they could size down to a 4.75. We were able to get my engagement ring sized down too, and we picked both of my rings up yesterday on our way home from the beach. :) It's nice to just have one more thing taken care of ahead of time. :)

Beach Photos

Although Corey and I are not getting married at the beach, we've made many trips there together and it's a place we really enjoy. Actually we just got back from the beach last night. Anyways, here are some really cute beach wedding photos I found online. They are just beautiful! It makes me wish we could take photos at the beach.

Lots of new things have happened over the last week or so! Many things to write about!

AUGUST 5, 2012!!!

Corey and I are getting married August 5, 2012! Today we settled on a date and a venue! We'll be getting married at Postlewait Country Farm in Canby, Oregon. Here are a few pictures.  

Second, we settled on colors. Officially we are having orange, pink, and yellow :)

And we bought our invitations today. It was kinda spontaneous but we found ones we liked for an excellent deal! 

Going Away Dress... and my ring

I bought my going away dress on Tuesday! I'm very excited. I found it shopping with Ann and Jennifer from work at White House Black Market. It will be perfect dress to wear as we leave after the reception. It's a little white party dress from White House Black Market. So excited! :)

Also I realized I never put up a picture of my engagement ring! I love it, it's perfect. Corey did an excellent job. It's from the Shane Company. Here are a few pictures.

Update: Starting to Plan

Corey and I have begun a little bit of planning. Not much yet because I still need to establish a budget, but we've started talking about colors. I don't think we've come to an agreement yet, but we have a few ideas.

Corey likes Orange... so here are a few examples.

 

 

Corey likes how the orange looks with the black suit. I kinda like it too. Corey wants his guys to wear black with an orange tie, maybe with white stripes. Not really sure how I feel about the orange, but he really likes it so we're going to try to make it work I think.

This is my favorite orange and yellow bouquet of flowers. I love how the white makes the bouquet softer than just the orange and yellow. 

This is kinda pretty. I'm just not sure how I like orange as the main color. It might be a bit too much for me.

If I were to have the bridesmaids wear orange, these next two are similar to the shade of orange I like.

Already June!

I just have to say that Corey and I have been engaged for 5 months as of the first of this month! So excited! I thought that a year and a half engagement was so long, but I'm so thankful for the time. I'm loving being engaged and being able to finish the school year without frantically planning a wedding. Time has already flown by the last 5 months! I'm really excited to start planning things with Corey this summer!!!

I'm so blessed to have this amazing man in my life. He is so patient, kind, smart, thoughtful, strong, loving, determined, encouraging, passionate, and so much more. He's constantly seeking to improve himself and grow closer to the Lord, he inspires me to want to do the same. He's loyal, an incredible friend, a great listener, funny, a good leader and example, and honest. I'm so excited I get to go through life with Corey. So far we've had a wonderful journey and I know it's only beginning! I pray God will guide us and give us patience and wisdom as we step forward together.
